We've been through some big changes in the last 20 years...
Catherine built her home in 2004 and used Amish cabinets throughout the home. With eight children she truly felt she had put their quality to the test, she was so thoroughly impressed with the solidness and beauty of the Amish cabinetry that she started this company in 2006 to bring the same elegance and craftsmanship more easily to the Indianapolis area.
Over the 20 years since its founding Catherine achieved exactly that, growing the business from a passion to a reliable and sought after source for quality custom cabinetry. Along the way Alex Bissell became involved in every aspect. Starting as a delivery helper in 2015 Alex has been critical in several different aspects of business operation, from design to delivery, Alex took on every portion of projects that he could until he knew the business inside and out.
When the founder of Anderson Amish Cabinets, Catherine Anderson, looked to retire it became an obvious choice to prepare Alex to continue the mission. Having been hand selected and feeling eager after many years of training to take on the challenge, Alex Bissell has been the full owner and primary operator since January of 2026.
Following the trend of explosive growth he and Catherine had started since 2020, Alex has been hard at work since early 2026 to introduce new members to the Anderson Amish Cabinets standards while he continues to maintain doing design, orders, and delivery of stunning custom projects.

Asked about our wants needs and desires. She gave us SO MANY unique ideas that were practical and functional. Catherine and Alex managed the design, measuring and installation coordination. Installation was a dream. We reviewed the designs countless times to make sure everything was designed to perfection. The installation team paid so much attention to every little detail. Alex was here the day the cabinets arrived and installation started, and Catherine came the next day to check the progress.Every cabinet is perfectly level, and every little nailhead was filled in with perfect color match.
I do a lot of cooking and canning and this kitchen is my dream come true. It is absolutely beautiful and completely functional. I have a place for everything.
The price was very very fair considering it's a 23.5 foot wide kitchen with one wall of cabinet cabinets, a 15' x 4' deep island, a beverage center that is 4' x 18", a balustrade that is 8 foot wide designed by an artist, all the wood trim for the windows and door in the entire Great Room, and a bathroom vanity and linen closet door.
I still randomly, six months later, text Catherine how much I love this kitchen.

We used Anderson Amish Cabinets when we built our house 10 years ago. We found the price to be competitive with cabinet quotes we got from other kitchen cabinetry companies. We were blown away at the quality of these cabinets! Our carpenter was impressed how these were crafted and how easy they were to install. They are beautiful and look as good as the day we installed them. We live on the lake and the kitchen gets used pretty heavily and 10 year later, they still look amazing!
This year, we decided to reconfigure our island which used these cabinets as a base. We hired a contractor to do the work and reengaged Anderson Amish Cabinets to acquire some additional building materials to extend the island. They helped us with all the pieces and stain we needed to match the existing cabinet color. Cathy Anderson was amazing to work with again - (as she was 10 years ago) to make this happen. She worked seamlessly with my contractor. Once we got the materials, we were able to complete the project and get it 'countertop ready' in less than a day.
These cabinets are not only beautiful, but they are built to last. The Amish quality of the materials and craftsmanship is incredible. Couple that with Cathy Anderson's design knowledge, attention to detail and enthusiasm, you have a winning team!

Having the full force family chaos in the kitchen all at once has taught me the importance of cabinet placement, flow, time tested designs, and quality materials. After eleven years working in Anderson Amish Cabinets I have designed numerous kitchens, bathrooms, studies and bars that precisely fit the lifestyle of the owners. I've learned how to listen to your needs to turn a plain space into something both gorgeous and efficient.
